What is the A Home for All Foundation?
-
A Home for All Foundation (Good2Give Community Fund) was established in 2025 to channel the property sector’s influence and reach, to drive awareness, raise funds and build long-term change for people experiencing homelessness and housing insecurity.
Led by the Australian property industry and backed by REA Group, A Home for All is about stepping up as a collective, to make sure everyone, no matter their circumstance, has a place to call home.

Why does the Foundation exist?
-
On any given night, more than 122,000 Australians have no safe and secure place to call home. The 2021 census revealed that just 6% of people experiencing homelessness were sleeping rough, or on the streets.
The majority were couch surfing, sleeping in cars, or moving from one temporary location to the next, with no guarantee of security from night to night.
Once someone experiences homelessness, it becomes increasingly difficult to achieve the financial security and stability required to exit the cycle.

What is A Night Without Home?
-
A Night Without Home is an awareness and fundraising event throughout the month of October to help end homelessness in Australia.
Every dollar raised will accelerate the impact of organisations working to end homelessness in Australia, through A Home for All Foundation.
By choosing your own challenge, you’re supporting the many Australians experiencing homelessness, the majority of which are hidden in plain sight – those who are couch surfing, sleeping in cars, or moving from one temporary location to the next with no guarantee of security.

Absolutely. While A Home for All Foundation and A Night Without Home are led by the Australian property industry, we know that ending homelessness needs to be a collective effort. How is A Night Without Home different to sleepout events?
-
A Night Without Home isn’t focussed solely on rough sleeping, or sleeping outdoors. 94% of people experiencing homelessness are not sleeping rough.
The majority are couch surfing, sleeping in cars, or moving from one temporary location to the next, with no guarantee of security from night to night.
A Night Without Home asks you to choose a challenge, each of which represents a part of the homelessness cycle.
This may mean sleeping in your car, on a mate’s couch, or going without the stable home comforts that come with having a safe, secure place to call home.

Who decides where the funding goes?
-
The allocation of funds will be guided by an expert Advisory Committee. The Committee brings together experts from the housing, homelessness and property sectors to collectively direct funding to where it will create meaningful change.
Each financial year, the Advisory Committee votes on a theme to guide the disbursement of funding to charities. In FY26, the theme is Domestic and Family Violence.
The number of people experiencing homelessness due to domestic violence more than doubled between 2021-2024.
All funds raised through A Home for All Foundation in FY26 will be directed to charities supporting those impacted by domestic and family violence.
Funds will be distributed to DGR1 status charitable organisations, in line with the Foundation’s Charter. The selection of charities is at the discretion of an Advisory Committee, overseen by the Good2Give Community Fund.
