Fundraising Tips

Whether you’re new to fundraising or a seasoned pro, these tips will help you get started and keep the momentum going this October. Here are five easy ideas to inspire more donations:

1. Be a trendsetter

Kick things off by making your first donation. It shows you’re serious and inspires others to take your lead – even a small amount can get the ball rolling.

2. Shout it from the roof

Share what you’re up to – use social media, email, and everyday conversations to talk about A Night Without Home, and why you’re taking part.

3. Ask a little from a lot

Reach out to as many people as you can and ask them for a small donation. It might be small change to them, but it adds up quickly! Share your link with friends, family and co-workers and see how quickly you can reach your goal.

4. Say thanks

When you receive a donation, send a personal thank you. If you’re up to it, public displays of appreciation are a good way to show your thanks too.

5. Don’t be shy

It’s okay to follow up and continue to remind your network of the impact they can have. Keep sharing your progress and let everyone know how close you are to reaching your goal.
